Travel updates for COVID-19

Regarding the corona virus (covid-19) situation, we will share any information that may be relevant to your trip to Kinosaki Onsen & Japan on this page.

NOTICE: State of Emergency [NOTE: this block is currently hidden ↓↓ cfukai 20211009]

Due to the covid-19 situation, a state of emergency has been declared for Hyogo prefecture. Nishimuraya Honkan, Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei, Nishimuraya Ricca & Sanpou Nishimuraya will be closed from August 23rd until September 30th, currently scheduled to resume operations on October 1st.

PLEASE NOTE, additionally, Nishimuraya Honkan will be exceptionally closed until 8 October (scheduled re-open 9 October) for construction work.

When contacting us, please mention your check-in date, hotel name and traveler name.

Public hot spring Satono-yu will be closed (currently scheduled closure: Aug 20 ~ Sept 12 / Sept 13 scheduled close day) but all other public hot springs are scheduled to operate normally.

Regarding shops, restaurants and attractions of Kinosaki Onsen and the surrounding area, please contact the shop/restaurant/attraction directly or check Visit Kinosaki.

Nishimuraya Honkan, Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei, Nishimuraya Ricca & Sanpou Nishimuraya are open for business and welcoming guests daily.

NOTICE: Breakfast Buffet Re-open
The breakfast buffet of Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei had been temporarily closed has been re-opened from the morning of 9 October, 2021.

SPECIAL NOTICE: residents of Japan irrespective of citizenship may qualify for the “Go To Travel” discount when staying at our properties for a limited time. See this page for details.

NOTE: as of December 28, 2020 the Go To Travel campaign has been temporarily paused. Restart date is currently unknown.

We know many of our guests living overseas are limited by travel restrictions. If you have a reservation with us and your trip is not possible due to travel restrictions, inquire with the website or travel agent you booked with about changing or cancelling. If you have any difficulties contact us for assistance – our team is standing by to assist you with any questions or inquiries.

The public hot springs in Kinosaki Onsen and many shops & restaurants are open for business with health and safety measures in place. Irregular closures and restrictions may occur. For the latest information please contact the shop/restaurant directly or check Visit Kinosaki.

JR trains are running though reduced schedules may occur. For flight information or travel advisories please consult with your airline.

NOTICE: International Travel to Japan

Japan is currently closed to leisure international travel. Limited business & other visa-based travel has been resumed. While the restrictions are a temporary, border re-opening details for leisure travel are still awaiting announcement.
